Abstract:
PURPOSE: To mechanize the arranging and casing operations for long objects to improve the working efficiency by supporting the long objects only at their center at a constant height so that directions of largely bent objects deforming in an angled shape are arranged in one direction.
CONSTITUTION: After a plurality of cucumbers K carried by a feed conveyer 2c are temporarily stopped by a stopper 1 to be arranged in a lateral line, they are at once transferred onto each support roller 14 of a cucumber arranging machine 3. Then the arranging machine 3 is driven to make each support roller axially supported on an elevating frame 18 perpendicularly descend, and a center of each cucumber K is supported by each support roller 14 axially supported on a support frame. Thus with each support roller 14 working as a fulcrum, front and rear ends of a largely bent cucumber K deforming in an angled shape are inverted downward, so that directions of the respective cucumbers K are aligned in a direction. A cucumber boxing apparatus is driven thereafter to suck and hold each cucumber K mounted on the support roller 14 by each suction pad 59 to box them into a corrugated fiberboard box.
