Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting simulation technology capable of accurately predicting generation of an internal solidification defect.SOLUTION: In an embodiment, a casting simulation device 10 has: a temperature history calculation part 22 for calculating, with respect to each element constituting the molten metal filled in a mold, a temperature history which is a temperature change with time from a start point of time when a molten metal is filled until a time when the molten metal is solidified and cooled to complete a cast; and a solidification defect determination part 24 for determining whether or not an internal solidification defect is generated on an inner part of the cast on the basis of the calculated temperature history of each element. The temperature history calculation part 22 calculates the temperature history by using a physical property value before solidification, up to a solidus line temperature set at a lower temperature than a first solidus line temperature as the point of time when the first solidus line temperature set beforehand is reached is delayed.
