Title:
CATALYST FOR DENITRATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04145942
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a strong catalyst excellent in denitration performance by blending specified catalytically active components with kaolin as a mineral in a specified ratio and specifying porosity and average pore diameter.

CONSTITUTION: A blend of 0 2-3wt.% V2O5, 0.5-5wt.% WO3 and 10-30wt.% TiO2 as catalytically active components with ≥50wt.% kaolin as a mineral is molded and a catalyst having 40-60% porosity and 300-2000 average pore diameter is obtd. Since kaolin having superior moldability is used as the base and the porosity and average pore diameter are controlled, the obtd. catalyst excellent in denitration performance and is strong, inexpensive and especially suitable for the denitration of exhaust gas from an engine.
