Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6446474
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To establish sufficient prevention of leakage from a balloon attached to a catheter without requiring a particular place for it by forming the balloon so as to inflate elliptically in advance. CONSTITUTION: The under-part 15 of a catheter tube 1 near the front opening is surrounded by a balloon 17, and a foamed plastic body 19 is accommodated in the balloon 17 in such a way as filling it completely. A ruelle lock type connection part 25 is installed at the bottom 27 of the catheter tube 1, and there a tube or vessel for artificial nutrition is connected. The catheter is introduced with the forefront division 7 as leading, and when it attains the desired position, a blocking cap 13 for the connection part 11 is opened. Therewith, the plastic body 19 is going to inflate to cause sucking of the air, and the balloon 17 and plastic body 19 in free state will take an elliptical shape, so that no particular place is required to be provided inside the organ, and the catheter can be fixed to the prescribed position in the body.
