Title:
CDMA MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, BASE STATION DEVICE, AND ACTIVE SET SELECTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006157555
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To effectively use a hardware source of a base station by eliminating an invalid cells from an active set with respect to an incoming high-speed signal such as E-DCH (enhanced-dedicated channels).

Base stations 100 and 101 measure a reception state of the incoming high-speed signal from a mobile terminal 1 and periodically notifies an RNC (radio network controller) 200 of the reception state. The RNC 200 determines cells to be eliminated from the active set on the basis of the reception state (for example, reception SIR) notified from the respective base stations 100 and 101. The RNC 200 transmits to the base station 100 and the mobile terminal 1 a radio channel release request to release a radio channel of an incoming high-speed signal set in cells determined to be eliminated from the active set. The base station 100 and the mobile terminal which receive the radio channel release request from the RNC 200 respectively release the radio channel to thereby eliminate the cell 110 from the active set.
