To provide a personal digital assistant automatically connectable with a selling site when an incoming melody sounds and a user desires to purchase merchandise related to the incoming melody.
The personal digital assistant 10 accesses a contents server device 20 to download incoming melody data, and stores inside the incoming melody data and a URL to a merchandise sales server device 30 for selling merchandise related to the incoming melody data in association with a call incoming event. At the occurrence of the call incoming event, the incoming melody data corresponding to the event is read and sounded. After the user completes the call, a prestored selection message for selecting whether or not to purchase the merchandise related to the incoming melody is outputted to a screen. When the user selects purchase, the URL corresponding to the incoming melody data is read and connected with a Web page in the merchandise purchase server device 30 indicated by the URL.
