Abstract:
To improve the performance of a horizontal centrifugal dehydrator, to save energy and to reduce the cost.
A screw conveyor 10 is housed in a bowl 1 rotating at high speed to constitute this dehydrator. In this case, an annular front end wall 4 is slightly projected from the front end of a horizontal straight shell 2 toward the shaft center, and a separated liq. discharge hole 6 is provided in the periphery of the rear end wall of the bowl 1 to constitute the bowl 1. Further, a back pressure adjuster 20 is provided for the screw conveyor 10 to supply a raw liq. to its rear corresponding to the discharge hole 6, to adjust the opening degree of a sludge discharge port 5 and to control the discharge of a dehydrated cake.
