To provide a magnetic separator for dry grinding by which coarse grindings are continuously recovered from a sucked gas on the upstream side of a dust collector.

This separator is provided with a drum formed by arranging an inner cylinder 6 furnished with magnets 5 on its periphery in an outer cylinder 4 formed from a nonmagnetic material. In this case, a suction passage 22 is provided along the drum periphery to let the sucked gas contg. grindings flow down, the pivoting part of a squeeze roller 8 abutting at least on the drum is made airtight, and the grindings in the sucked gas passing through the passage 22 are continuously attracted on the outer cylinder 4, separated and recovered.
