Title:
CERAMIC-COATED CARBONACEOUS MATERIAL AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3691090
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a ceramic-coated carbonaceous material having excellent resistance to oxidizing consumption, resistance to wear and adherence to a base material.
CONSTITUTION: This ceramic-coated carbonaceous material is composed of a carbon material as a base material, a chromium carbonate layer formed by a conversion method on the carbon material and a ceramic layer in which a complex oxide comprising yttrium oxide and zirconium dioxide is dispersed in an amorphous silicon dioxide on the chromium carbonate layer. A component ratio of zirconium dioxide, silicone dioxide and yttrium oxide in the ceramic layer is a molar ratio of (1:0.8:0.05) to (1:1.2:0.20) and an yttrium chromate generated by a reaction of the chromium carbonate in the chromium carbonate layer and the yttrium oxide as the component of the ceramic layer lies between said ceramic layer to afford the aimed ceramic-coated carbonaceous material.
