To provide a standing-assisting chair unit which can be shifted from a seating position where it forms a seat surface raised at its front to an upright position where a front seat does not obstruct thighs with the front of a rear sheet tilted downward, and which allows smoothly assisting old people with weak legs and handicapped people.
In a chair unit for assisting standing, a base frame 10 where the front end journal part 31 a of a front seat supporting rod 31 is placed ahead and upward of the front end journal part 32a of a lower connecting rod 32 is provided with a rear-seat supporting rod 33 where the rear end journal part 31b of the front seat supporting rod 31 is placed ahead and upward of the rear end journal part 32b of the lower connecting rod 32, with the front seat supporting rod 31 and the lower connecting rod 32 intervening therebetween. The chair unit is shifted by an actuator 21 from a seating position, in which a front sheet 4 adjoins to a rear seat 5 to form a flush seat surface raised at its front, to an upright position in which the front seat 4 is retreated to a position immediately therebelow where it is separated from the rear seat 5.
