A state change judging device of a clutch judges a state change in the clutch for transmitting torque by a frictional force. The state change judging device comprises a rotating speed change rate detecting means (step S3) for detecting that the rotating speed change rate of a prescribed rotating member connected to the output side of the clutch, an engaged state detecting means (step S10) for detecting the degree of the change of an engaged state for the change control of the engaged state of the clutch when the rotating speed change rate detecting means (step S3) detects that the rotating speed change rate of the rotating member is located within a prescribed range and a change state judging means (step S14) for judging the state of the change of the clutch on the basis of the degree of the change of the engaged state detected by the engaged state detecting means (step S10).
