A character retrieval system and a recording medium storing the electronic memorization card comprises; a creating means in which the question and the answer created as a document are stored in a storage device in the computer and in which a marker for controlling progress is added by an input device; and an operating means which displays the question and the answer on an output device utilizing a software for documentation and which makes a central processing unit control the progress by retrieving the marker.
