Abstract:

To provide a chip recovering device in a tip dresser, a device that surely removes chips sticking around an electrode tip, that restricts no operation posture of the tip dresser, and that realizes miniaturization of the device as well as enabling chips to be surely recovered.

The chip recovering device in a tip dresser is structured such that a case 6 is each arranged to cover both sides of a cutter 2, that a blowing nozzle 10 for compressed air is each arranged in the case, with a discharging port 11 of chips also formed therein, that a guide plate 16 is placed between the nozzle and the cutter face for the purpose of blowing the compressed air to the cutter face and generating an eddy in the case, and that, with both sides of the cutter held between the two cases, the two cases are attachably/detachably joined with each other.
