To provide a cleaning method and a cleaning device capable of reducing the quantity of a solvent to be used in a cleaning process, shortening the time necessary for the cleaning process and miniaturizing the device.

The cleaning method is performed by passing a material D to be cleaned between pairs of 1st rolls 5a, 5b and 1st rolls 6a, 6b each having elasticity and impregnated with a solvent while pressing to be in contact to dissolve a sticking material stuck to the material D in the solvent exuded from each of the 1st rolls 5a, 5b and the 1st rolls 6a, 6b and next, passing the material D between a pair of 2nd rolls 7a, 7b having elasticity and capable of absorbing the solvent while pressing to be in contact to absorb and remove the solvent on the material D.
