Title:
CLEANING METHOD FOR IMAGE RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61284787
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate a defect in cleaning by cleaning an image carrier by a magnetic brush means within a period of ≥1 turn when toner remains on the image carrier without being transferred to recording paper even after passing through a transfer position.

CONSTITUTION: When recording paper in feed trouble is dealt with and an image recording device is restarted, magnetic brush cleaning is put in operation, a photosensitive body is operated by ≥1 turn while magnetic bursh development is stopped and an exposure lamp still illuminates to clean the photosensitive drum, and then normal electrophotography is restarted. An extremely small amount of toner tends to stick onto the photosensitive body, bit by bit, so the magnetic brush cleaning is sometimes put in operation while the photosensitive body is rotated by ≥1 turn before the sticking of toner becomes conspicuous. Consequently, the photosensitive body is held invariably clean and electrophotographic images of high quality are obtained.
