Abstract:
To provide a cloth for polishing a magnetic disk allowing texture machining of uniform surface roughness Ra regardless of size of grains.
At least weft comprises crimped threads mainly made of polyester extra fine filament fiber with substantially round cross section, and the weft covers larger area of a surface than warp. The cloth comprises five or more satin fabric with cover factor CF represented by the following equation is 2400-3400. CF=[warp total fineness (dtex)]1/2 × warp density (number/25.4 mm) + [weft total fineness (dtex)]1/2 × weft density (number/25.4 mm).
