Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a cloth presser to smoothly move to a refuge position by reducing load during refuge.
SOLUTION: A cloth presser 2 is vertically movably attached to a guide rod 24 via a cylinder 2a. An arm member 25 secured at its upper end to a cloth presser driving lift 21 is clamped from above and below between a rocking arm 50 attached to the cylinder 2a and a projection projected from the cylinder 2a, and the cloth presser 2 is engaged with the cloth presser driving lift 21. To raise the cloth presser 2 to a refuge position, a push-up lever 65 is rotated upward, the rocking arm 50 is pushed open, and the cloth presser 2 is directly pushed up to raise only the cloth presser 2 to the refuge position. When the cloth presser 2 is taken refuge, a cam mechanism is not released but the cloth presser 2 is disengaged from the cloth presser driving lift 21 and pushed up, and therefore when the cloth presser 2 is pushed up with the load is so small that the cloth presser 2 can be smoothly moved to the refuge position.
