PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film removing method and its device applicable to a steel material and a steel wire regardless of their shapes, and simultaneously performing hairline processing.
SOLUTION: The hairline processing is realized by removing a coating film of a steel wire surface by passing the steel wire W through a gripped abrasive grain, by gripping the abrasive grain by using a plurality of sets of work bowl pairs.
