Abstract:
PURPOSE: To extend a cell system by mutually connecting plural cell systems setting up the same area as an effective range and sharing radio telephone traffic load among mutually connected cell systems. CONSTITUTION: An existing cell system (X system 102) includes a control terminal station 120 connected to X system base stations 121 to 124 through data and voice lines and connected to a telephone central station through an in-trunk and an out-trunk. Another cell system (M system 101) includes a control terminal station 420 connected to M system base stations 411 to 414 through data and voice lines and connected to the telephone center station through the in-trunk and the out-trunk. The M system base stations 411 to 414 are arranged coexistently with their corresponding X system base stations 121 to 124. Paging/ access channels are allocated to respective M system base stations 411 to 414, which process all inputs from moble radio telephone sets and page all outputs to the moble radio telephone sets. Access-only channels are allocated to the X system base stations 121 to 124 and the transmission of the mobile radio telephone set which is transferred from the M system 101 to the X system 102 by a directional retry message is processed.
