PURPOSE: TO provide a coffee maker with prevents the piping from being clogged, and the thermal conductivity from reducing due to the adhesion of scale as much as possible.

CONSTITUTION: In a piping 7 which is attached in a base 5, one end of the piping 7 is bent upward at one end of the base 5, and the other end is formed into a horseshoe shape. At the horseshoe shape part, a heater 6 is arranged in parallel with the horseshoe shape part. On the base 5, a water pouring tank 8 on the bottom of which a water pouring pipe 8a is provided is mounted in such a manner that the water pouring pipe 8a is fitted in one end of the piping 7. In the water pouring tank 8, a scale suppressing apparatus 1 to suppress scale from depositing is attached at the intermediate part and bottom part. Then, a suppressing material 2 is filled in the scale suppressing apparatus 1. Then, water which comes into contact with the suppressing material 2 when passing through the inside of the scale suppressing apparatus l flows into the piping 7 from the water pouring pipe 8a of the water pouring tank 8, and is heated by the heater 6, and becomes hot water.
