Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of short-circuiting between electrodes so as not to bring electrically a cold shield into contact with the electrode by covering the surface of a light receiving element and the cold shield at an opposite side with an insulating film. CONSTITUTION:The cold shield 1 has the surface opposite to the individual electrode 2 and a common electrode 2a on which the insulating film 5 composed of zinc sulphide or the like, for instance, is formed. Even when the cold shield 1 contacts the individual electrode 2 or the common electrode 2a, the electrodes 2, 2a are not shorted through the cold shield 5. Therefore, a gap DELTA between the cold shield 1 and the electrodes 2, 2a can be set to a minimum and a background light 7 incident from the gap DELTA is properly interrupted, the light incident on the light receiving element 4 is only a light 6 through an individual aperture 9 and the reliability in the operation of a photoelectric conversion element is improved.
