Abstract:
To improve accuracy in detecting a vehicle requiring collision avoidance in a collision avoidance system.SOLUTION: A collision avoidance system 1 includes: a periphery monitoring system 2 for detecting an approaching vehicle with the use of a sensor; an approaching vehicle notification system 3 for performing communication with the other approaching vehicle by inter-vehicle communication; and a detected vehicle comparison and determination system 4 connected to the periphery monitoring system 2 and the approaching vehicle notification system 3, so as to determine a common vehicle detected by both of the periphery monitoring system 2 and the approaching vehicle notification system 3, and to control the periphery monitoring system 2 and the approaching vehicle notification system 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
