Abstract:
To provide a combustible gas applicable as a substitute gas of acetylene in the fusion cutting of a steel material and to provide a fusion cutting method of the steel material using the combustible gas.
A combustible gas used as a combustion gas in the fusion cutting of a steel material contains a methane-based gas by 15.4 vol.% or more and 24.1 vol.% or less and the balance comprises hydrogen and inevitable impurities. In a fusion cutting method of the steel material, the combustible gas containing the methane-based gas by 15.4 vol.% or more and 24.1 vol.% or less and comprising the balance of hydrogen and the inevitable impurities is used as the combustion gas.
