Title:
COMBUSTION DEVICE FOR GAS TURBINE ENGINE THAT BURNS MULTIPLE TYPES OF FUEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11257100
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain an inexpensive combustion device for a gas turbine engine that burns multiple types of fuel, which is of simple construction and in which the amount of exhaust pollutants discharged is low.

This combustion device includes a burner head which has both pilot gas injection means and pilot liquid fuel injection means. The pilot gas injection means has a ring-shaped passage connected to the downstream surface of the burner head and inclination means located near the ring-shaped passage, with the pilot gas fuel aimed toward the longitudinal axis 21 of the combustion device to spray covering the center part of the downstream surface. In the combustion device, a front surface (FF) of the flame is positioned near the burner head during both gas fuel operation and liquid fuel operation. During liquid fuel operation, the air flow for cooling is swept across the downstream surface.
