To carry out sufficient cooling of compressed air with a simple struc ture by an air cooling device to maintain high heat efficiency, by installing an ice heat reserve, and connecting the cold taking-out passage of the ice heat reserve to the air cooling device.
This gas turbine is provided with an ice heat reserve unit 16. A supply pump 38 is provided in a cold taking-out passage 30 arranged in a cold reserve bath 25 of the ice heat reserve unit 16, and a cold medium supply tube 39 which is connected to the supply pump 38 is connected to intermediate air cooling devices 11, 12. A cold medium return tube 40 which is connected to the air cooling devices 11, 12 is connected to the cold taking-out passage 30. A cold medium 29 at a low temperature which was cooled in a cold reserve layer 25 is supplied to the air cooling devices 11, 12 to cool compressed air 4'. This requires only small amount of flow rate of the cold medium 29 supplied to the air cooling devices 11, 12. Therefore, this reduces the capacity of the supply pump 38 and the size of the air cooling devices 11, 12.
