The combustion explosive power drive type riveting machine is provided with a driving mechanism 12 having an ignition device 18 for igniting a driving means, and driven by the driving means, and a storage part 15 for the driving means container 20 for enclosing the driving means. The storage part 15 is provided with a detector 30 for detecting the driving means container 20. The detector 30 is configured to prevent the ignition of the driving means by the ignition device 18 when detecting the absence of the driving means container 20 and to permit the ignition of the driving means by the ignition device 18 when detecting the presence of the driving means container 20. The detector 30 is provided with a switching means 31. When detecting the absence of the driving means container 20 in the storage part 15, an ignition current circuit 19 is opened for interception, and when detecting the presence of the driving means container 20 in the storage part, the ignition current circuit 19 is closed.
