To provide a portable electronic equipment that can display in an always correct direction by properly upper and lower/right and left reversing the display of a display regardless of an attitude in display technique when displaying videos or the like concerning TV broadcast on a small display, and to provide an image/video display method therefor.

The portable electronic equipment A having at least one of a video display function and a still image display function includes: a display direction reversing means A1 for upper and lower/right and left reversing display images on the display; and a reverse display detection means A2 for detecting whether the display images are displayed reversely. The display direction reversing means upper and lower/right and left reverses the display images when the reverse display detection means detects reverse display of the display images.
