The communication system is provided with: the communication equipment 2 (IP phone 9) including a storage device 16, a telephone set controller 17, a voice processing unit 18, a network interface 19, a display driver 20, and a key interface 21; a doorphone indoor unit 3; a camera-attached doorphone 4; a television receiver 5; a video player 6; and a home gateway (HGW) 7. The communication equipment 2 executes a voice speech with the camera-attached doorphone 4, and the television receiver 5 executes an image display function which the communication equipment 2 does not include.
