Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications system or the like which carries out multiplex communication employing random numbers.
SOLUTION: A communication system 101 uses N (N≥3) sets of phase spread codes &phiv [0] to &phiv [N-1], a fundamental carrier signal c(ωt) having a prescribed bit width T, a prescribed angular frequency ω, a chip width C=T/N and a period of 2π/ω, and its correlation function d(η). A transmitter 102 uses a signal c(ωt+ψ[floor(t/C) mod N]), resulting from shifting the phase of the fundamental carrier signal c(ωt) for a carrier, modulates a bit signal with the bit width T and transmits the result. A receiver 103 demodulates the bit signal on the basis of the correlation value between the received signal and the product of the fundamental carrier signal c(ωt) and the d(ψ[floor(t/C) mod N]).
