Abstract:

To make a compact container smaller and thinner and to maintain high airtightness.

The compact container having a container body into which contents are packed and housed and a cap which is mated with this container body and isolates the inside and outside thereof is provided with a airtight segment to be formed integrally therewith at the mating surface of the container body and the cap. The airtight segment consists of an annular wall formed to at least either of the container body and the cap, and grasping walls for sandwiching the same from both sides in the entire area of the annular wall from one thereof. The container body and the cap are provided with engaging projections for blocking the inadvertent opening of the cap by engaging to each other.
