PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of component distribution, to shorten a time and to energy-save by translating the names and symbols of components by a computer, sorting them, and automatically selecting to a packet.

CONSTITUTION: When the name and manufacturing quantity of printed circuit substrates are input to a computer 8 for receiving component data, working step numbers and the working order of the order of the steps are retrieved from the data only by instructing the name of the component 2, indicated on a display 6, a part locator 5 is controlled, and an only one packet 3 is selected with a step number corresponding to a tray 4 and with a working order corresponding to the disposing position of the packet 3. Then, the components 2 are contained by a worker in the selected packet 3 without mistaking the displayed quantity. When finished, a switching operation, such as the operations of a foot switch, an input key, etc., are conducted, and a signal is input to the computer 8. The computer 8 subsequently selects next display and the selection of the packet 3 by this switching operation when the same component 2 is used for other circuit. When the components 2 are all distributed, the end of the gist is displayed.
