Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a component recognizing device designed in a simple structure for a rotary-type surface mounting apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary-type surface mounting apparatus includes a recognizing laser unit 10. The recognizing laser unit 10 is located at a component recognizing station in such a way that a suction nozzle 8 at a mounting head is put between a light receiving part 12 and a laser generating unit 11 in the recognizing laser unit 10 when the suction nozzle 8 reaches the component recognizing station. While the suction nozzle 8 is rotated by a control means, a component is recognized on the basis of a signal from the recognizing laser unit 10.
