Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material wire, especially a dental correction wire, which enables controlling of the load deflection behavoir of the wire by mutually crossing fiber bundles in the wire and achieves excellent beauty in appearance with a white semi-transparency.
SOLUTION: In a composite material wire 1, especially a dental correction wire, a plurality of fiber bundles 3 comprising more than one pieces of continuous fiber 2 oriented to one direction as a whole using a resin and are mutually crossed once or more in the wire. In the wire 1 obtained, the load deflection behavior of the wire 1 can be controlled by varying the frequency of mutually crossing the fiber bundles 3 per unit length.
