Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a piston decreased working cost, excellent in mechanical property such as wear resistance and heat resistance, of unnecessity to exchange and of light weight by using a low cost reinforcing material and a hybrid fiber very excellent in wear resistance and machinability.
CONSTITUTION: The groove part (2) of the pressure ring and the cap (3) of the piston body (1), made from aluminium alloy, or either of the two is made by composting and reinforcing while impregnating aluminium alloy to the reinforcing material formed properly by the hybrid fiber (4) consisting of a aluminium borate whisker and one or more than two kinds of an inorganic short fiber.
