Abstract:
To provide a composition for oral ingestion comprising an active ingredient other than a precursor amino acid added thereto and promoting glutathione biosynthesis in cells in order to maintain the glutathione level in vivo (in tissues or cells) at a high value from aspects of an increase in the glutathione synthetic ability in the cells as a method separate from or used in combination with a method for feeding the precursor amino acid used for the glutathione biosynthesis.
The composition for the oral ingestion comprises at least one kind of rubrofusarin glycoside in an amount effective for increasing the glutathione level in vivo so as to increase the glutathione level in the biocells.
