To provide a cmposition effective for prevention, retardation, reverse, or lessening of side effects related to alcohol consumption.

The composition contains activated carbon, limestone or occasionally, activated limestone, and may contain occasionally other agents such as vitamin B1 and/or boredom alleviating drug. It is desirable that the composition is used in tablet form or geratin-capsulated powder form. The composition is in the amount preliminarily prepared to be about 100-500 mg per one dosage, which is a method for lowering or alleviating harmful effects ralated to alcohol consumption. The method includes a step of dosing the composition containing activated carbon and activated limestone at regular intervals before, during, and after alcohol consumption.
