Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the computing element which can provide the integrated value or average value of input signals with high accuracy without any error in comparison with conventional analog and digital computing elements and enables the insulation and hold of signals by using low-priced circuit elements in comparison with the purely analog computing element.
CONSTITUTION: This computing element is provided with an input inverter circuit 2a for inverting the input signal with a common voltage as a center, switch 3 for selectively supplying either the output of that input inverter circuit 2a or the input signal to an integration circuit 4, two comparators 5a and 5b for respectively comparing the output of the integration circuit 4 with two high and low reference voltages deviated from the common voltage to (+) and (-) sides just for the same potential, switch driving circuit 6 for changing over the switch 3 each time any one of outputs from those respective comparators 5a and 5b is inverted, and counter 12 for performing a counting operation synchronously with the inversion of the outputs, from the comparators 5a and 5b.
