To provide a transfer roll which diminishes environmental variations as compared with a single sponge roll as a product and suppresses contamination in the case of the single sponge roll, by combining a sponge roll which diminishes environmental variations of electric resistance in a high temperature and high humidity environment by using a high resistance plasticizer with a surface-treated rubber tube.
In the conductive roll having on a core bar 11 a conductive foamed elastic layer 12 and a conductive elastic layer 13 disposed on the periphery of the conductive foamed elastic layer 12, the conductive foamed elastic layer 12 comprises foam of epichlorohydrin rubber and acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) and contains 10 to <40 pts. wt. of a high resistance plasticizer based on 100 pts. wt. of the rubber base, and the conductive elastic layer 13 comprises a rubber base containing active hydrogen and has a surface-treated layer 13a surface-treated with a surface treating liquid containing at least a diisocyanate component.
