Abstract:

To provide a corn steep liquor which does not produce sediments, even when left at a low temperature for a long period and can stably be stored on distribution over a long period, and to provide a method for producing the corn steep liquor.

This corn steep liquor is obtained by adding an inorganic acid and/or an organic acid to a corn steep liquid to adjust the pH value of the corn steep liquor to ≤3. The inorganic acid and/or the organic acid are selected from the group consisting of hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, oxalic acid, citric acid, malic acid, and formic acid.
