PURPOSE: To obtain a low cost connection unit which can protect effectively a reinforced concrete post from bearing breakdown in a connection area and manufacture the post easily, and fill-up concrete easily thereinto.
CONSTITUTION: Steel pipe members 4a and 4b are vertically welded with an upper flange 1a and a lower flange 1b at the longitudinal central part of a horizontal steel member 1 which comprises an H steel shape to which a steel beam is connected on both ends respectively. When the steel pipe member 4a and 4b are used, such members whose flanges are wider than those of the horizontal steel member is adopted. Concrete is filled up from a placement space 6 formed between the flange edges down to the lower part of the vertical steel pipe member 4b as well.
