Title:
CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR UNDERGROUND TANK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3179867
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a safety liquid from separating and aging and reduce the thickness of a tank plate in terms of a method which constructs an underground tank based on the application of buoyance in a shaft which uses the protection liquid.
CONSTITUTION: A protection liquid circulation pipeline 3, which is designed to circulate a protection liquid 10 in a shaft 11, is mounted to a bottom cover 2a of an underground tank 1. While shell units 2 of an underground tank 1 are jointed and welded one after another at a specified ground position and the tank 1 is installed underground in the shaft 11. A buoyancy adjusting liquid 9 is fed into the underground tank 1 while a float 5 is mounted to the protection liquid circulation pipeline 3 so that a buoyance controlled liquid level 9a and a protection liquid level may be placed virtually in the same elevation, thereby minimizing the differential pressure both inside and outside the tank 1.
