PURPOSE: To increase the capacity by forming a recess, which houses an L- shaped arm of a cargo-handling device, at the front wall of packages and by prolonging the container length without changing the overall length of the car when it is loaded with a container.

CONSTITUTION: A recess 15 is formed at the center of the front wall 11 of a container, and a detent pin 21 is installed at the upper part of this recess 15. This pin 21 is put in engagement with an L-shaped arm of the cargo-handling device, and the recess 15 houses the L-shaped arm. Thereby the container length is prolonged in an amount corresponding to the arm and the capacity will increase accordingly. The mounting part 18 for the detent pin 21 is installed in such a way as laid over the surface 20 of the recess 15 to give an enhanced strength.
