PURPOSE: To treat sewage always in an optimum state by providing a calculator which determines the present value of a control index, a calculator which determines an optimum system among the coefft. for the degree of utilizing oxygen in return sludge, a calculator which determines the target value of the control target for each system, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The 1st calculator 1 calculates the present residence time of the sludge in each system by using a model for the amt. of the sludge in a secondary treatment system, etc. from the empirical values on the flow rate of the inflow sewage of each system to an aeration tank, the concn. of said sludge, the flow rate of return sludge, the concn. of said sludge, and the amt. of the excess sludge to be removed from the tank and determining the amt. of the sludge propagated in the aeraton tank in the past one control period. The 2nd calculator 2 searches a certain system having a prescribed coefft. of the speed for utilizing oxygen and determines the optimum value for the residence time of the sludge. The 3rd calculator 3 is inputted with the optimum value for the residence time of the sludge and determines the optimum value for the residence time of the sludge in the other system. The 4th calculator determines the rate of sewage distribution in each system.
