Abstract:
PURPOSE:To always obtain satisfactory acceleration and deceleration performance by selecting the target rotating speed for transition time to control a speed change ratio when the actual acceleration or deceleration speed is small, and required acceleration and decleration are not caused regardless of a demand for acceleration and deceleration of a car. CONSTITUTION:During operation of an engine, on judging that acceleration/deceleration is required from an output of a throttle opening sensor 52 in CPU not shown, the acceleration/deceleration at that time is detected to compare the detected acceleration/deceleration with a reference acceleration/deceleration. Subsequently, if the detected acceleration/deceleration is larger than the reference acceleration/deceleration, the target rotating speed for steady time is selected, and if it is smaller, the target rotating speed for transition time is selected as the target engine rotating speed. According to the thus selected target rotating speed, a flow control valve 38 is controlled, and an escape valve 32 is controlled to adjust line pressure Pl to the minimum value for avoiding a slip of a belt 26 of a stepless speed change gear 10.
