Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce noise generated by the engagement of gears by providing gears which are double helical like bevel gear form in such a manner that the shape of the gear at the outer periphery of a pulley corresponds to the shape of the gear engaged with the gear at the inner periphery of a belt. CONSTITUTION:A pulley 1 is provided with a gear disposed on the outer periphery thereof, the shape of which is double helical like bevel gear from, and a circular groove 5 is formed along the periphery between peaks 2b, 2b' of teeth. On the other hand, an endless belt 3 for the pulley 1 has an inner gear 4, which is double helical like bevel gear from according to the outer periphery of the pulley 1, and a circular groove 6 is formed along the periphery between valleys 4b, 4b' of teeth. In this arrangement, a contact area at the time of engagement of the above peaks 2b, 2b' with the valleys 4b, 4b' of teeth is reduced, and the engagement is continuously performed extending from each one end to the other ends of the peaks 2b, 2b' and the valleys 4b, 4b'. Accordingly, noise generated at the time of engagement of teeth can be reduced.
