Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the comfortableness in a car by relieving shocks applied when the car is passing over the unevenness on a road surface.
CONSTITUTION: When a road has a small surface vunevenness, a throttle valve 3 is opened and closed under control by a valve control means M2 on the basis of the degree of accel. opening given by an accel. opening sensing means S4. The unevenness of the road surface near the front wheels is sensed by an unevenness sensing means S5, and when a road surface situation judging means M1 judges that the current unevenness is over the specified value, the control means M2 puts the throttle valve 3 in the closing control. As a result, an engine brake is applied so that the car body makes a nose-down, and the grounding load of the rear wheels decreases to weaken the shock applied when the rear wheels pass over the unevenness. With a greater unevenness, a shift-down, control of the fuel injection amount, or ignition retardance is used together, in addition to the clocing control of the throttle valve 3.
