Abstract:
PURPOSE:To utilize an expert's high-level knowledge regarding control systems and delicately cope with changes in use environment. CONSTITUTION:The control signal generating device 10 consists of a signal converting device 20, an expert system 30, and a low-order controller 40. The control signal generating device 10 converts an external signal by a signal-fact converting device 21 into a signal matching the form of a rule described in a knowledge base 32 and stores it in a working memory 31. On the basis of the fact stored in the working memory 31, an inference engine 33 advances inference according to the rule stored in the knowledge base 32 to obtain conclusion regarding which of controllers 41-1-41-n in the low-order controller 40 is to be used. The low-order controller 40 selects one of the controllers 41-1-41-n according to the conclusion of the inference engine 33 and determines its parameters, and performs operation for the input signal to determine a control input.
