Title:
CONTROLLER FOR VEHICULAR CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001304387
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a controller for a vehicular continuously variable transmission having no slipping of a power transmission member, even if the vehicle detecting atmospheric pressure, when a vehicle traveling state is with in a prescribed traveling area.

An intake air capacity correcting means 84 limits an intake air capacity Q to a value corresponding to a level ground atmospheric pressure, in an area where an atmospheric pressure PA detected by an atmospheric pressure detecting means 90 is lower than the level ground atmospheric pressure expected in level ground traveling. It makes correction according to the atmospheric pressure PA detected by the atmospheric pressure detecting means 90, in an area where the atmospheric pressure PA detected by the atmospheric pressure detecting means 90 is higher than the level ground atmospheric pressure expected in level ground traveling. When the atmospheric pressure PA, detected by the atmospheric pressure detecting means 90, is lower than the level ground atmospheric pressure, the intake air capacity Q is limited to the value corresponding to this level ground atmospheric pressure, namely one atmospheric pressure. Thus, in traveling from highland to level ground, the calculated value of an engine output torque TE does will become lower than the actual engine output torque, thereby slipping of a transmission belt 48 is prevented from occurring.
