Title:
SWITCHING CONTROLLER FOR BELT-TYPE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001304388
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a switching controller for resolving the problem which occurs, when switching from a neutral range to a drive range in a belt-type continuously variable transmission and a clutch pressure is suddenly fed inside a hydraulic system causing a drop in a line pressure, and in the extreme case, a danger of a belt slip page.

When a switching operation input of N to D or N to R is detected on the basis of a switch signal from an inhibitor switch 5, this switching controller sends a correction command to a shift control circuit 42 for incrementally correcting the line pressure. Feeding of oil pressure to a clutch/brake unit 18 by an engagement control circuit 44 is started after passage of a predetermined delay time. Meanwhile, when engagement in the clutch/brake unit 18 is completed, a prescribed delay time further conducts incremental correction of the line pressure further. As a result of this, even if the oil pressure is fed to the clutch/brake unit 18 and an actual line pressure drops, each belt sandwiching force of pulleys 20 and 22 are ensured by this incremental correction.
