Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the magnetic flux density at the corners of a screen of a cathode-ray tube and correct comatic miss convergence by negative differentiation by installing a plurality of arc-like shunts in a first face of a rear cover of a deflecting yoke on the opposite to the screen.
SOLUTION: Arc like shunts 100 are made of a ceramic having specific permeability, for example, 1000 and stuck to grooves 115 formed in a rear cover 35 of a self-convergence deflecting yoke by a synthetic resin and rubber glue. The curvature of the inner arc of the shunts 100 is made similar to the outer circumference of a neck part 105 of a cathode ray tube, so that the magnetic fields near the corners of a screen where the magnetic flux density in the end part of a vertical magnetic field which is curved in horizontal direction is necessary to be heightened and corrected can be strengthened. A C-shaped shunt 100 set along the outer circumference of the neck part 105 strengthens the function of a barrel magnetic field at a corner part without affecting the barrel magnetic field near the x axis and greatly corrects the magnetic field at a corner in the screen in the right direction.
